The long transit of Mars through cancer is finally coming to an end by the first week of May. For you this means that you have an entirely different sense now of where you belong than prior to last December. It could be that your immediate or everyday environment has developed an additional window through to an alternative future vista. The question is when is that future due to start? The future, of course, never really arrives, because once it does it’s the present. So maybe the window is looking through to next week or next month. And maybe you are drawing the landscape nearer to you by realizing what you left out or chose to ignore last September in the way of forging connections or links. These may have eventually come around again in the first two months of the year. And maybe this time you actually got hold of some of them and worked for cohesion. If you didn’t then the last week of May and the first half of June are peppered with undue changes or delays in schedule which only serve to make you more determined to make up for lost time.

You are feeling things intensely in May and June but you have a sixth sense about your popularity and the high opinion some people hold of you, and you are not inhibited about using it - or them - to your best advantage. Just remember that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. And as long as you are prepared to repay in kind, all well and good.

The pause now in Jupiter’s progress through capricorn until September gives you the space to judge the professional landscape and get accustomed to new rules which need to be learned if you are to gain access or licence or participation into a group or association in the autumn, requiring you then to impress or engage the favourable attention of those in influence on whom you might rely for your advancement from that time. Doors closed to you in May are unlocked - however briefly for temporary access pending full membership - in the last three months of the year.

Any messy details or loose ends in the area of earnings and finances need to be sorted sooner this spring rather than later, but it may be easier to do so or to find the right people to do it for you in July.

A brush with harsh facts or a clash of temperaments then may be the only way you will get serious about cementing some heartfelt bonds and taking them into deeper and more meaningful areas.

This is an era requiring moral stamina and emotional integrity for all taureans; the time has come to be determined and sincere about lasting satisfaction from creative and personal achievement.

Autumn update

For the whole of September the personal planets are in libra in your solar house of everyday association and service - this means you have a more cohesive networking plan. But does it mean you have to strive to bring it about or is it being bestowed upon you naturally!? It is probably a little of both. Your ability to charm people is not in dispute ... when you feel inclined ... and there is the key. If at this time you are your naturally likeable and straightforward self there is little effort required. Whereas if you take undue exception to certain folk or argue the toss at every point opportunities will glide straight past you and only then do you realize the value of what may have been good, necessitating a massive manoeuvre pulling back threads and mending sails. In short, you could see that you have not worked to your own advantage as mid October dawns and want (possibly even need) to go back over ground quite highly prized.

Your penchant for being obdurate and sour, Taurus, is measured against your sunnier and generous disposition when at your best. So which is it to be? Decide now, before mid November when you will need to make a gesture or a choice for the last time.

Certainly those of you born during the first ten days of the sign are most affected by this, but taureans in general will feel the need to cut away from past misunderstandings or bad habits and find new dependability .

If Mars in your opposing sign of scorpio can be seen as cleansing rather than harrowing to partnerships and close connections during October then it will give you an ease of mind and heart which might otherwise be absent. After the second week of November you may feel that others are more honest about their plans and hopes, but they can only be so to the extent that their world is clearer for them. So give a little leeway here, unless the lack of direction and intention actually prevents your own progress.

Saturn still in the solar area of your chart regarding pleasure and love will demand you work hard to establish lasting joy in these zones. And that you take into account the long view, which includes the needs of those weaker than you or less able. You are required now to be mentor or guardian to people in your care or control. But do not confuse that category with the equals who even so may depend on you. It is not the same thing, and to see it as such is to incur displeasure or resentment which stops you from being effective.

As Jupiter goes direct in September your responsibilities are well under the spotlight , but the chance to lessen them is not on the horizon until late November. Some of these responsibilities may not be solely yours and there has to be decision about how much you are prepared to do and how much you are obligated to do.

For only then can it be established where some of the causes of the current weights or burdens lie. Better understanding will lead to more information and when Uranus opposes Saturn for the last three months of this year your view of lifestyle is coloured by what you lack rather than what you want.
