For all geminians the transit of Saturn in virgo will over the next couple of years be making challenging aspects to your natal sun. This will require you (and in some cases compel you) to close up the anomalies, seal off the loose ends or come away from middle ground defensives concerning your allegiance and important life issues.

Although this Saturnine demand may take some time to make itself felt (depending where exactly your birthday lies in the vibration of gemini) it will feel less like pressure if you are at least aware of your ambiguities and not heading into full scale denial. There is much to be said in favour of positive mental attitude, and manifesting what you need from the material plane. But remember that for this to work you have to get out of your own way. You have to know what you don’t want in order to get to what you do want.

The pausing of Jupiter in capricorn in May will enable you to take stock over the following four months of what has transpired in the first part of 2008 concerning your position with anyone who means a lot to your plans. This is necessary in order to see where there may be unyielding or insurmountable problems preventing cohesion, or calling for tougher approaches to hard-line attitudes. By the time Jupiter moves forward again in September you will have entrenched your position or been defeated by the territory. Even so, keep in mind that the decision is yours.

When Mercury retrogrades in your own sign for the last few days of May and most of June, it will call into the light the foundation of issues which have been lingering since last September, and question the integrity of those involved. This means that you cannot avoid the judgement of certain people, or of being judged by them. After the middle of July the jury is back in and you know where you stand. But wait until August second week before you make profoundly personal choices, because then they will be truly personal and not just based on arbitrary politeness or (worse still) political correctness. Pluto moving out of your opposite sign now may take seemingly ages to effect change but it is calling for partnership developments based on the acknowledgement of past truth, because only then can pitfalls be cleared and a bad impasse point be avoided this time. With this intensely penetrative planetary influence there may well be repercussions in 2009 for things brought about under duress or false colours. In this respect - prevention being superior to cure - expect nothing but the stark truth to emerge as August turns the corner to autumn.

Autumn update

For those Geminis born in the first ten days of the sign the good news that Saturn is gradually ceasing to adversely aspect your sun will be accompanied by the fact that the personal planets are in Libra in September - another air sign - and making for smoother or more splendid connections within matters bringing enjoyment and pleasure. All geminians at that time should enjoy the lightening of the atmosphere, or the load, whilst those born in the last twenty days of the sign may not feel as if they know where the real support is or where they can expect any favours until the close of October.

But Jupiter going direct again in general signals for all an increase in security to some degree, and therefore there has to be advancement in plans hatched or much needed from the start of the year - if you could just make the changes and bridge the gap between the hopes you had of joint aspirations and the ability to begin putting things in place.

It could be 2009 before you make the significant discovery of where these are really heading, but at least they are out of the back water.

For the gemini people born after the 30th May it might be a case of still navigating the doldrums - so hated by your sign. And even a ‘coasting’ speed may feel like stagnation to gemini hearts.

A superb aspect between Mars and Uranus in late October and early November brings excellent work/career moves, designed to take you deeper into notions and territory which earlier in the year, round about spring, gave you cause to change gear gradually but resoundedly. Make your investigations and excavations of the useful facts and truths throughout November, rather quickly if possible, and then be prepared to approach people and places you dithered over end of last year and through to March. Then hold your breath and make a leap of faith before Christmas - your grip will engage somewhere and you can assume a more weighty balance gradually through January. Getting a foot in the door is the important thing. Worry about the niceties later. Though we really think you thought them out some time ago and were merely awaiting the main chance of entry point.

You are not shy Gemini, and if you feel so it is because you lack your fundamental facts, and this is something you need to know and remember; your confidence grows with the practise of whatever the task at hand. Your patience in this area may now and then be lacking but your ability to master the plan is seldom absent if you feel the need keenly enough.

Your ruler Mercury is retrograde in libra at the end of September until the middle of October so the need to sort out the lasting values from the whims - or the trivia you merely picked up for the sake of it - should be claimed and sorted before that takes up too much time and effort.

It is a very good year for contacts and resources - at differing levels and depending on your individual needs. Don’t overlook the value of your full address book as 2008 ends.
