Taking financial advice is a very modern innovation. At one time you did not take financial advice unless you were mega rich and had estates and industries to control. Nowadays anyone can have access to financial advice for any degree of wealth. Whether its a small nest-egg or a small fortune, whether they are in business or in trouble, whether they are big players or average individuals.
