Cookie Explanation

What is a cookie and how does it work?

Whilst you are visiting us at Tarot-Online.net we temporarily place a tiny file called a 'cookie' in the 'temporary internet folder' on your computer

don't worry, it doesn't do anything except hold your own login details and tell our server what they are each time you view one of our pages. this saves you having to log in again every time you click on a link within the site

when you close your web browser (the program you use to surf the web) our cookie deletes itself and you have to log in again next time you visit the site

if you want to visit the site without needing to log in, or bookmark pages within the site so you can go straight to them (e.g. your favourite reading or your list of readings etc.), then check the 'remember me' box and we'll put a cookie on your computer that stays there even when you close your browser - you can still remove this cookie any time you want by clicking on 'logout' from within the site (so don't logout if you want to use the 'remember me' option!) - DON'T USE THIS OPTION IF YOU ARE VISITING THE SITE FROM A PUBLIC INTERNET TERMINAL IN AN INTERNET CAFE OR SIMILAR, OTHERWISE THE NEXT PERSON TO LOG IN TO Tarot-Online.net ON THAT COMPUTER WILL BE TAKEN STRAIGHT TO YOUR ACCOUNT!

**

by the way most websites you visit will put a cookie on your computer - they just normally don't tell you

cookies can be really helpful - as we've explained - but if you really hate the idea of having them on your computer, you can get freeware programs that will remove them easily
